State of the project

Implementation: This program will begin in July 2010.

Target group

Women who receive conditional cash transfers from the “Families in Action” program.

Scope of project

• Number of municipalities: 12  (Villagarzón, Timaná, Yacuanquer, Linares, Necoclí, Ayapel, San Andrés de Sotavento, María la Baja, Puerto López, el Zulia, Samana and Tibú)
• Number of beneficiaries: 48,439

Project time frame

The first stage of the project has a two-year time frame. At the end of that time, the beneficiaries from the municipalities involved are expected to be effectively integrated into the financial system through the use of their savings accounts. At the end of the first year of the project, after an analysis of outcomes, a second phase is expected to begin, reaching 300,000 beneficiaries.
