How the Capital Project works?

The Capital Project plays a dual role:
- It advises governments on public policies that promote inclusion of poor people in the financial system.
- It provides assistance in the design and implementation of projects that encourage savings and more effective use of money through conditional cash transfers.
A conditional cash transfer is money delivered to representatives of economically disadvantaged families, especially women, as long as they meet certain requirements (conditions), such as ensuring that their children attend school or participate in nutrition programs, that pregnant women get regular pre-natal checkups, etc.
